Robin Rodriguez, Director
Mr. Rodriguez is the Managing General Partner of Cordell Funding, LLLP, an asset based lender established in 1999, active in the United States and approved as a lender by the Central Bank of the Bahamas. He is also Managing Director of the India Deep Value Fund and India Investment Advisors established in 2005 which are firms that focus on investments in public companies in India. The India Deep Value Fund is registered as a Foreign Institutional Investor with the Securities Exchange Board of India.
Mr. Rodriguez served as the Chairman of the Board from 2004 to 2008 of the FDIC-insured Stonegate Bank, a commercial bank with offices throughout Florida. He is the Managing Member of Anglo-American Financial, LLC which was formed in 1979. Through its subsidiaries, Anglo-American Financial has acted as an asset-based lender, an options broker on the London Stock Exchange and the London Metal Exchange, an SEC-registered Investment Advisor, and an NASD registered and SIPC insured broker-dealer.
From 1977 through 2002, Mr. Rodriguez was the Managing Partner of FSI Group which was a dealer in government securities, an Associate Member of the GNMA Dealers Association and, through its subsidiary, a CFTC and NFA-registered commodities broker. FSI was the successor to Commodity Management International which was formed in 1976 to manage individual and institutional commodity accounts with computer-based trading systems. Prior to his experience at FSI Group, Mr. Rodriguez was the Head Trader for London options trading at a New York stock brokerage firm, Vilas & Hickey and in charge of the development of their managed account program in the commodity and foreign exchange markets. Mr. Rodriguez also served as a Trader at both Mocatta Metals Corporation and Manfra, Tordella & Brookes. At Mocatta Metals, Mr. Rodriguez was the New York/Chicago Silver Arbitrage Trader, wrote the Mocatta Metals Bullion Report, and did interest arbitrage in metal trades. At Manfra, Tordella & Brookes he made markets in foreign currency and gold coins.
Mr. Rodriguez has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade, the International Monetary Market in Chicago, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the International Commodity Exchange (Bermuda) Ltd., and the New York Futures Exchange. His trading strategies have been featured by Wall Street Journal Reports, and articles have been written about his arbitrage strategies in the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and dozens of other papers.
Mr. Rodriguez studied economics and advanced mathematics at Amherst College where he wrote a thesis on “The Random Walk Theory of Commodity Market Prices.” He also studied International Finance at New York University.
Walter Aye, Director
Walter Edwards Aye is an attorney who has been practicing law in Tampa since 1976. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), the University of Florida College of Law (J.D. with honors, law review, moot court), and the N.Y.U. Law School (LLM in tax).
Mr. Aye is a mediator and arbitrator registered with the American Arbitration Association. He is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. He served as faculty member and chairman for Stetson University College of Law/Florida Bar Trial Skills Program (1997-2005). He is the past editor-in-chief for the Practice Management & Development Section of the Florida Bar and served as the section’s past chairman. He is a member of the executive committee of the Florida Bar Labor & Employment Law Section, and served, upon request of the Florida Bar President, on the Special Technology Advisory Commission and the Solo and Small Firms Committee. He is an author and lecturer on various legal and alternative dispute resolution (mediation & arbitration) topics, having lectured nationally and throughout Florida.
Mr. Aye is listed in Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America, Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, Law and Leading Attorneys, and has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He is admitted to practice before: Florida State Courts, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Claims; U.S. Courts of Appeals (5th Circuit; 11th Circuit); U.S. District Court (M.D. Fla.). He serves as co-Chair on the marketing committee and is a Director of the Ybor City Development Corporation, an agency of the City of Tampa; is a director of the Florida Storytelling Association; is a Director of the Cuban Club Foundation; is a member of the Plant High School PTSA, serving on the Academic Foundation, is a member Tampa Bay Storytelling Guild; and, is a member of the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce. He is a regular storyteller to homeless children at the Metropolitan Ministries elementary school.
Harry Kazazian, Director
Mr. Kazazian is the Chief Executive Officer for Exxel Outdoors, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of outdoor gear which manufactures in Asia and America and distributes to major mass retailers and sporting goods chains. The company brands include well-known names like Suisse Sport, American Trails, X20, Disney, Hello Kitty and Master Sportsman.
Exxel Outdoors was started in 1997, and today has operations in California and Alabama. Exxel has been named on the Inc. 500/5000, the prestigious ranking of the fastest growing privately held American companies, as well as being hailed by major press outlets for bringing manufacturing jobs back to America. Mr. Kazazian has been featured in several business publications such as MSNBC, Forbes, Bloomberg and others for the company’s ability to create manufacturing jobs in the United States.
Mr. James Cavaricci, Director
Mr. Cavaricci is a successful entrepreneur and private investor whose storied career has spanned over 45 years. He is considered a legend within the clothing industry.
After graduating from Youngstown State in 1969, Mr. Cavaricci established a retail clothing store that soon expanded to three locations which he sold in 1975. He used the profits to open a clothing manufacturing company that he operated until he unofficially retired in 2009.
As a manufacturer, Mr. Cavaricci created the ZCavaricci brand. During the late 1980’s, ZCavaricci became a worldwide label. Every well-known department store in North America displayed and sold the ZCavaricci brand. At its pinnacle, the ZCavarrici business boasted revenues in excess of $140 million.
Armen Kouleyan, Director
Mr. Kouleyan is the President of Exxel Outdoors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from California State University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He is also certified by GIA for diamond appraisal obtained from the Penn State College for numismatics.
